Cardiac Sonographer - Echocardiology

The Cardiac Sonographer utilizes sophisticated ultrasound technology to evaluate cardiac anatomy, function, and hemodynamics under indirect physician supervision. Responsibilities include obtaining diagnostic images and Doppler data, evaluating pathological findings, and collaborating with echocardiologists on complex studies like transesophageal and stress echos. Enrolled Cardiac Sonographers rotate across multiple Nova Scotia Health clinical sites, ensuring high-quality patient care and supporting advanced practice services for tertiary and surgical programs.
