ISHU
The Cardiovascular Perfusionist plans, sets up, operates, and maintains extracorporeal circulation equipment for adult and paediatric cardiac surgery, transplant procedures, interventional cardiology, and critical care situations requiring mechanical circulatory support. The role ensures safe management of cardiopulmonary bypass, myocardial protection, autotransfusion, and ECMO in line with international standards, manufacturer guidelines, ISHU policies, and JCI accreditation requirements.
