Central Sterile Lead Technician

The Central Sterile Lead Technician is responsible for maintaining standards related to the decontamination and reprocessing of equipment and instrumentation used in patient care. This role ensures that all surgical instruments and hospital equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, and distributed throughout the hospital. The position also involves serving as a resource for staff, assisting in department education, and precepting new team members.
