Certified Inpatient/Outpatient Coder

This role is responsible for the timely and accurate assignment of ICD-10 and CPT codes for all inpatient discharges and outpatient records. The position ensures patient information is correctly abstracted in the CPSI information system, including proper sequencing of diagnosis and procedure codes, DRG calculations, and accurate discharge dispositions. The coder also assembles deficiency charts and communicates coding process issues to the Medical Records Director.
