Certified Lactation Educator

The Certified Lactation Educator provides individualized education and support to breastfeeding mothers, promoting evidence-based care management and facilitating clinical changes. The role involves educating mothers separated from their infants, referring participants to WIC, and managing data within the hospital's Electronic Medical Record system. Additionally, the position includes facilitating breastfeeding support groups, leading discussions on skin-to-skin and breastfeeding, and assisting with post-discharge follow-ups.
