Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assists in the treatment of injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities under the direct supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The role involves providing rehabilitative services for individuals with physical, emotional, mental, or developmental impairments. The assistant administers treatment programs, demonstrates clinical reasoning, and instructs patients and families in home programs and adaptive equipment.
