About this role

The Certified Pharmacy Technician Trainee works under the direct supervision of hospital pharmacists performing clerical, drug distribution, and medication management duties. The role includes preparing and labeling medications, managing inventory, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering medications to various hospital units. Certification as a pharmacy technician is required upon hire, with full certification to be obtained within one year.

Responsibilities

Prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist direction
Manage inventory and restock dispensing cabinets
Maintain USP 795, 797, and 800 regulatory compliance
Deliver medications to nursing units, operating rooms, and emergency departments
Prepare IV additive medications using sterile technique
