Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA)

The Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) works directly alongside the surgeon in the operating room to assist with patient positioning, maintaining the sterile field, and providing surgical support. The role involves active participation in procedures by controlling bleeding, suturing, closing incisions, and anticipating the surgeon's needs to ensure safe and efficient surgical care. This is a per diem position at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX.
