Certified Surgical First Assistant

Under the Perioperative leader, this role assumes responsibility for assuring quality care within the Perioperative environment as a health care team member. The Certified Surgical First Assistant actively assists the surgeon in completing operations safely by providing exposure, maintaining hemostasis, and performing other technical functions. The position requires anticipating and responding to the needs of the patient, surgeon, and other team members while maintaining strict confidentiality.
