Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit that helps families build, buy, or improve simple, decent and affordable homes so people can live in safety, stability and dignity. It works through local affiliates that partner with homeowners, volunteers and donors, using volunteer labor, donations and affordable financing to construct, rehabilitate and preserve housing. In addition to homebuilding, Habitat engages in disaster response, community development and housing advocacy to advance policies that expand access to affordable housing. Supporters can donate, volunteer or advocate to help scale its locally driven, volunteer-powered model worldwide.
