About this role

Ursa Major is seeking a Chief Engineer to serve as the technical authority and architectural owner for the Draper Engine Hypersonic program, overseeing end‑to‑end vehicle technical baseline and integration of propulsion, structures, avionics, GNC, thermal, and mission systems. The role provides technical leadership across the full lifecycle, partnering with program management, manufacturing, mission assurance, and business development to deliver reliable, high‑performance systems on aggressive schedules.

Responsibilities

Own vehicle system architecture and technical baseline
Lead vehicle-level systems engineering and cross‑disciplinary integration
Define and approve test strategies and provide flight readiness sign‑off
