About this role

The Child Life Specialist provides comprehensive psychosocial and developmental support to pediatric patients and children of adult patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. As a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, the role supports patients and families through illness, procedures, hospitalization, and bereavement, promoting coping and resilience. The specialist delivers developmentally appropriate education, therapeutic interventions, and non-pharmacological pain management to enhance the patient and family experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Child Life or Child Development Related FieldChild Life Internship (600 hours)CCLS (Child Life Certification) - obtain within one yearBLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross) within one year
