Child Life Specialist

The Child Life Specialist serves as a core member of the interdisciplinary care team, providing skilled child life support focused on the developmental, emotional, and psychosocial needs of pediatric palliative care patients and their families in home and community settings. The role involves developing and implementing plans of care to promote effective coping through developmentally appropriate interventions, advocacy, and family-centered care. This position requires collaboration with medical teams, parents, and caregivers to ensure comfort, support goals of care, and facilitate adaptive coping for children with life-threatening illnesses.
