Child Life Specialist

The Child Life Specialist provides emotional and social support to hospitalized infants, children, and adolescents by conducting educational and recreational programs to minimize psychological trauma. This role plans age-appropriate experiences to ensure continued cognitive and emotional growth while adding to the quality of patient care through observation, documentation, and communication with the healthcare team. The specialist also serves as a resource on child development issues for patients and their families.
