About this role

This role involves civil and structural engineering design and analysis for test stand foundations, structural steel frames, and facility systems at Blue Origin's engine and component test sites. The engineer will develop foundation designs, analyze structural integrity under extreme loads, and create 3D models and construction drawings using tools like STAAD and Creo. Collaboration with mechanical engineers, CAD designers, and construction project managers is essential to bring test facilities from concept to activation.

Responsibilities

Perform civil and structural analysis and design for test stand foundations and steel frames
Develop foundation designs including spread footings and deep foundation systems
Design and analyze structural steel systems in accordance with AISC and ASCE standards
Develop 3D structural models and construction drawings using Creo
Collaborate with construction project managers to ensure structural design intent during construction

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Alabama, Washington, Texas, or FloridaU.S. citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee
