Classification Specialist

The Classification Specialist provides professional human resources classification support services to assist the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in eliminating classification backlogs and ensuring accurate position descriptions. The role involves applying expert knowledge of federal classification principles and OPM standards to develop, review, and classify a broad range of positions across FDA Centers, Offices, and Programs. The incumbent collaborates with management officials and HR professionals to conduct position analyses, support desk audits, and maintain comprehensive case files while ensuring regulatory compliance.
