About this role

An entry-level Clinical Assistant in Training works under the guidance of a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse preceptor to assist RNs, physicians, and other providers with direct patient care in an ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities

Assist RN, Physician, and other providers with direct patient care
Perform identified procedures once competencies have been demonstrated
Care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly
Review and study classroom materials on their own time
Work at an entry-level scope assisting with patient care

Skills

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalentBasic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified or able to obtain within 3 monthsEnrolled in the In-Clinic Assistant Training Apprenticeship Program (ICATAP)
