About this role

The Clinical Assistant Apprentice works under the guidance of a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse preceptor at an entry-level, assisting RNs, Physicians, and other providers with direct patient care in an ambulatory setting. The role involves caring for patients ranging from newborn to elderly while contributing to the mission and goals of Essentia Health. As an apprentice, the individual will perform identified procedures individually once competencies have been demonstrated.

Responsibilities

Perform identified clinical procedures after competency demonstration
Complete clinical assistant training and certification program
