The Professional/Clinical Nurse provides individualized, holistic nursing care by assessing, planning and implementing treatment for patients and their families. The role coordinates patient care within a multi-disciplinary team, uses evidence-based nursing theory and practices, and supports clinical education and the adoption of medical technologies. The nurse also acts as a clinical resource and patient advocate, ensuring safe, quality care and effective communication across the unit.
