Clinical Perfusionist

The Clinical Perfusionist is responsible for the setup and operation of extra-corporeal circulation equipment to support or replace a patient's circulatory and respiratory functions during medical procedures. This role involves preparing heart-lung machines, managing patient data, and conducting safe transitions to and from cardio-pulmonary bypass. The position also includes performing ancillary tasks such as intra-operative blood salvage, intra-aortic balloon pumping, and ECMO support, while maintaining equipment and supplies.
