This role identifies and addresses the psychosocial and psychiatric needs of patients and families through clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and supportive counseling within a hospital setting. The clinician collaborates with medical and behavioral health teams to evaluate patients in the Emergency Department, coordinate resources, and ensure appropriate levels of care. The position focuses on providing cost-effective services that meet the goals of patients, providers, payors, and the healthcare organization.
