About this role

The Cloud Engineer - Linux and Automation is responsible for administering, automating, and continuously improving Thrive's Linux-based infrastructure, focusing on Ubuntu systems, Ansible, Terraform, and private cloud platforms. The role serves as a Tier 2 escalation point, develops infrastructure-as-code solutions, and participates in on-call rotations while ensuring security, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Administer and troubleshoot Ubuntu Linux systems across physical and virtual environments
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform configurations for infrastructure automation
Manage virtual machine provisioning and lifecycle in HPE Morpheus and VMware environments
Maintain NetBox as the source of truth and integrate it with IaC tools
Participate in on‑call rotation and resolve critical infrastructure incidents
