About this role

The Senior Cloud Engineer (Observability - DataDog) engineering and operates the enterprise observability platform across hybrid cloud and containerized environments for the SEC ISS contract. The role involves instrumenting services with distributed tracing, tuning dashboards and alerts, and solving production performance and reliability issues using telemetry data. This position provides senior technical leadership for APM strategies and drives operational decision-making in a 24x7x365 operating environment.

Responsibilities

Engineer and operate the enterprise observability stack including metrics and traces
Instrument services and containerized workloads using OpenTelemetry and APM tracers
Design and enforce unified tagging standards across metrics and logs
Lead data-driven investigation and resolution of complex performance issues
Define and implement trace-based SLOs and deployment tracking workflows
