About this role

A Cloud & Platform DBA/Database Reliability Engineer at VML operates, optimises and secures managed and self‑managed databases that power high‑traffic ecommerce platforms across AWS, GCP and on‑prem environments. The role is focused on ensuring high availability, performance, security/compliance and cost efficiency—especially during peak events—while collaborating with architects, developers and support teams. This is a permanent, hybrid role that includes participation in an on‑call rotation and support for migrations, runbooks and operational best practices.
