Coder 1 or 2 - Remote

This remote position involves electronically recording, storing, and reporting on medical data by coding outpatient, emergency room, and professional service encounters. The role requires applying broad knowledge of procedure and diagnosis coding, medical terminology, and anatomy/physiology using CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 CM standards. Depending on qualifications, the position is hired as either Coder 1 or Coder 2, with Coder 2 also mentoring other staff.
