Coder Auditor-Professional

The Coder Auditor-Professional is responsible for auditing coding assignments with providers and coders, training coding staff, and ensuring accurate assignment of ICD-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes, E&M assignments, modifiers, and charge posting. The role involves interacting with medical staff, nursing, ancillary departments, provider offices, and outside organizations to ensure appropriate documentation and data quality for optimal reimbursement. The position requires maintaining a 95% accuracy rate in coding diagnoses and procedures while adhering to federal and state payment systems.
