RK&K is seeking a Civil Engineering student with an interest in transportation to join its Traffic Department as an intern in Fairfax, Virginia, for the Winter of 26/27. The role provides on-the-job training and collaboration with experienced traffic engineers, offering exposure to traffic operations, safety, and design challenges. Interns will assist with design plans, field investigations, data collection, and developing recommendations for traffic improvements.

Responsibilities

Provide traffic engineering support for projects ranging from small scale studies to complex solutions
Assist with the preparation of design plans for traffic control devices including traffic signals and signing
Perform field investigations and collect traffic data to evaluate safety and operational conditions
