Combination Inspector

Under general supervision, this role performs technical building inspection work to enforce compliance with building codes, regulations, and ordinances. The position involves reviewing plans, inspecting industrial, commercial, and residential buildings during construction and remodeling, and ensuring all city department requirements are met before issuing certificates of occupancy. The role requires frequent interaction with architects, contractors, and the public to explain and interpret code requirements.
