About this role

The Commercial Lines Underwriter, Broker serves as a technical resource for a commercial lines underwriting and brokerage renewal team, working closely with in-house teams to request and review underwriting information for rating carriers and engaging brokerage markets on complex risks. The role involves communicating effectively with carriers to obtain broad coverage at competitive prices, rating and preparing quotes, and handling inquiries from retail agents and carriers. This position offers the opportunity to gain underwriting and broking knowledge by working closely with Monarch’s largest underwriter/producer.

Responsibilities

Communicate with Pen and Brokerage Carriers to obtain broadest coverage at best price
Rate and prepare quotes with Pen and Binding Carriers within underwriting guidelines
Handle incoming calls and emails from retail agents and carriers ensuring high customer service standards
