Communication Specialist

The Communication Specialist serves as a call center representative for the MCH MOMS Helpline within the Indiana Department of Health, providing information, referrals, and resources to mothers, pregnant women, and families to connect them with community services. The role involves handling high volumes of incoming and outbound calls, identifying barriers to accessing services, and conducting screening and referrals for eligible pregnant women in targeted counties. This position aims to reduce infant mortality rates in Indiana by bridging the gap between families and essential early childhood and maternal health resources.
