Communications Manager

This role manages and implements citywide internal and external communications programs, serving as an internal consultant to advise leadership on communication strategies and public involvement. The position oversees communications staff, coordinates media relations, and develops strategies for agency initiatives and emergency events. It also involves representing the City to the news media, handling citizen complaints as the Ombudsman, and supporting the emergency management program.
