Communications Officer

This position handles communications relay for law enforcement, fire, and other emergency service units, managing radio, telephone, and computer systems to relay public and confidential information. The role requires acting with limited supervision to answer calls, enter data into CAD and RMS systems, and utilize state and federal telecommunications systems for criminal record checks and warrant processing. The incumbent serves as a front-line operator for the city's mass notification system and monitors social media and security video.
