About this role

SLR Consulting seeks a Principal-level Construction & Capital Project Assurance Manager to provide independent oversight of large-scale mining, energy, and infrastructure projects. This role involves leading capital project controls, assessing schedule and cost integrity, and ensuring adherence to lender obligations and technical standards while acting as a trusted advisor to investors and senior management.

Responsibilities

Lead capital project controls processes including WBS development and cost estimating
Monitor construction progress and productivity against project schedules and milestones
Assess contractor performance and identify potential delivery risks or delays
Review payment certificates and variation orders affecting project costs
Prepare accurate reporting for senior leadership, lenders, and project sponsors

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Mining EngineeringChartered Professional Engineer designation preferred15 years industry experience with 10+ in project deliveryPMP or similar project management certification preferred
