About this role
Cox First Media is hiring paid summer 2026 newsroom interns for its Dayton Daily News, Springfield News-Sun, and Journal-News brands in southwest Ohio. Interns will be based out of one of three newsrooms (Dayton, Springfield, or Hamilton) with schedules set ahead of time for an approximately 10-week program. The role is designed for students interested in starting a career in journalism or communications and offers exposure to a hybrid newsroom environment.
