About this role

The Controller at Primer is responsible for leading the accounting function and ensuring robust financial management as the company builds a new school system. This hands-on role requires deep GAAP expertise and mastery of NetSuite, overseeing period-end financial closes, improving accounting procedures, and providing mentorship to the accounting team. The Controller will also collaborate with finance and operations to ensure scalability and manage internal financial controls, audits, and intercompany funding in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment.
