Coroner Assistant

The role supports the HM Senior Coroner, Area Coroner and Assistant Coroners in managing investigations and casework for unknown, violent, sudden, in‑custody or otherwise detained, and unnatural deaths from referral through to the end of the investigation. It involves direct communication with bereaved families, legal representatives and witnesses, and the management of a personal caseload that may include complex, high‑profile cases such as child deaths, homicides, road traffic fatalities and suicides.
