About this role

Genesys is seeking a Commercially minded Corporate Counsel to support its Japan Cloud Services business within the APAC Commercial Legal team. This role serves as a trusted business partner, enabling revenue growth while protecting the company's legal and operational positions through complex transaction management. You will lead the drafting and negotiation of commercial technology agreements, including cloud subscriptions, partner deals, and AI solution terms, for the Japanese market.

Responsibilities

Lead drafting and negotiation of commercial technology agreements in Japan
Provide senior legal advice to Sales, Partner Sales, and Deal Desk stakeholders
Support direct and indirect transactions including resale models and flow-down terms
Identify legal, regulatory, and operational risks to propose pragmatic solutions
Develop contracts guidance, templates, and process improvements to reduce legal friction
