Correctional Officer I

This position directs, supervises, and trains inmate work-program crews while overseeing the care and custody of all inmates to ensure the security and safety of the public, staff, and inmates. The role involves planning and directing the safe operations of inmate work crews, providing oversight of housing, movement, feeding, discipline, and programs, and training inmates to develop marketable work skills. Additionally, the position requires coordinating with the watch commander for medical treatment, counseling, and discipline, as well as completing logs and reports based on activities and observations.
