About this role

The Counsellor/Therapist provides culturally responsive psychosocial counseling and psychotherapy to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, delivering individual, family, and group interventions and coordinating care with community agencies. The role includes intake, assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and participation in program development and supervision.

Responsibilities

Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide individual and group psychotherapy using evidence‑based modalities
Coordinate care with interprofessional team and community partners

Skills

Qualifications

Master's degree in psychotherapy, psychology, social work or occupational therapyRegistration with College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)Registration with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)Certification in Motivational InterviewingCertification in DBT or other evidence‑based modality
