Crisis Intervention Specialist

The Crisis Intervention Specialist responds to calls involving mental health issues, substance abuse, domestic violence, and other crises to assist law enforcement deputies. The role involves providing compassionate field intervention, identifying individuals with mental health illnesses, and coordinating follow-ups and appropriate placements. Additionally, the specialist serves as a liaison between the Sheriff's Office and crisis intervention service providers while offering safety information to the law enforcement community.
