Crossing Guard

This position is responsible for maintaining vehicular and pedestrian traffic control and monitoring duties, primarily to protect school children crossing heavily traveled streets to and from schools. The role involves regular and frequent contact with department employees, citizens, and families while ensuring safety during assigned hours. The employee is expected to remain calm, communicate effectively, and direct traffic safely using issued equipment.
