Dakota Culture and Language Teacher

Shakopee Public Schools is seeking a Dakota Culture and Language Teacher to deliver daily instruction and assessment in Dakota language and culture for high school students. This role focuses on language revitalization by creating culturally grounded learning experiences that empower students to develop linguistic skills and a strong sense of belonging. The teacher will develop standards-aligned curriculum, integrate Dakota history and traditions, and foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment rooted in Indigenous knowledge systems.
