About this role

As a Principal Data Center Architect, you will serve as the technical owner for Anthropic's physical AI compute facilities, establishing civil, structural, and architectural standards across global sites. You will lead site feasibility studies, review design deliverables from external partners, and integrate physical infrastructure with high-density IT and cooling systems to support frontier model training. This role requires driving design standardization and resolving complex technical challenges to ensure facilities are optimized for aggressive timelines and scalable deployment.

Responsibilities

Own civil, structural, and architectural reference design standards for data center portfolio
Lead front-end test fits and site feasibility studies for new locations
Review and approve CSA deliverables from design-build partners and AE firms
Integrate physical design with mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure teams
Drive site planning to maximize compute density and optimize construction phasing
