About this role

This role provides independent second-line oversight of data-related risks, including data quality, governance, privacy, and usage within a financial services environment. You will evaluate the effectiveness of controls, challenge risk mitigation activities, and partner with compliance and operational risk teams to align oversight with regulatory expectations. The position involves developing enterprise data risk processes, monitoring key risk indicators, and co-leading responses to regulatory exams and audits.

Responsibilities

Provide independent second-line oversight of data risk and governance.
Evaluate and challenge the effectiveness of first-line controls and risk mitigation.
Develop and maintain enterprise data risk processes and oversight methodologies.
Monitor key data risk indicators and escalate emerging risks as needed.
Co-chair the enterprise Data Governance Committee and lead regulatory exam responses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or Information Management8+ years of experience in risk management or data governance within financial servicesMaster's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or related field (preferred)
