About this role

As a Data Platform Engineer on the Data Pipelines team, you will design and build systems that reliably move telemetry and sensor data from Field AI's globally deployed robots to analytics and ML teams. You will develop ingestion SDKs, APIs, and integrations to handle intermittent connectivity and large payloads while ensuring data quality and pipeline scalability. This role is critical for creating the data backbone that drives autonomy improvements and engineering roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Design and build data ingestion frameworks and developer tooling for robotics telemetry
Develop reusable SDKs and APIs to onboard new robotics data sources efficiently
Integrate heterogeneous systems including edge devices, fleet management, and cloud storage
Optimize pipeline performance, scalability, and cost across growing fleet deployments
Ensure data quality through testing, monitoring, lineage tracking, and incident response
