De directie Centrale Administratieve Processen (CAP) is het kloppend hart van de Belastingdienst en verantwoordelijk voor de ontvangst, verwerking en verzending van alle fiscale gegevens van én aan burgers en bedrijven. De afdeling is georganiseerd in vier onderdelen: Gegevens, Heffing, Inning en Centrale Functies. Samen zorgen zij ervoor dat iedereen in Nederland een aanslagbiljet krijgt, aangifte kan doen of een toeslag ontvangt.
