Deputy Sheriff

This position is responsible for attending a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Academy to learn complex law enforcement duties and obtain certification. After certification, the role focuses on enforcing laws and regulations within the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility, including booking, prisoner care, security, and transportation. The position works under the general supervision of a Sergeant and is appointed at the pleasure of the Sheriff.
