A Design Manager acts as a strategic leader within the Engineering Management Centre of Excellence, overseeing pre-construction services and multidisciplinary design standards for major airport and port projects. The role involves managing external design consultancies, facilitating high-level stakeholder reviews, and ensuring technical compliance across large-scale capital programs exceeding $1Bn. Key duties include coordinating implementation with main contractors, providing executive-level reporting on risks and opportunities, and supporting the handover between design development and construction phases.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate implementation of multidisciplinary design standards
Oversee pre-construction phase services including planning and permitting
Manage design consultancy agreements for contract requirements
