Design Release Engineer

This role involves owning technical specifications for Battery Disconnect Unit (BDU) and Cell Management Unit (CMU) components within supplier-provided battery packs. The incumbent collaborates with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure compatibility with GM's embedded controls and system architecture while reviewing designs for compliance with functional safety and performance targets. Key duties include defining electrical, mechanical, and communication interfaces and coordinating with Battery Electronics teams to align integration requirements.
