About this role

The Desktop Engineering System Administrator 1 supports and maintains the Enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) environment for the LSU A&M campus, managing application deployments, thin imaging, and driver support for on-premises and cloud-based endpoints. The role involves operating, configuring, and maintaining departmental servers, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and certificate management, while ensuring secure and efficient management of enterprise endpoints across multiple platforms. Collaboration with various ITS teams is essential to implement endpoint standards, enforce security policies, and support overall IT operations.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain custom operating system images for deployment via PXE boot
Manage Microsoft Intune and Mobile Device Management technologies for enterprise endpoints
Support student Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment using Windows 365
